Museum context

Museum context often means to build really sturdy constructions and software - as opposed to the artistic approach which usually relies on people treating the object carefully. Working in a big technical museum with over 1 Million visitors yearly and very little personnel in the exhibitions, I had the privilege to learn this, too.

My job is to develop ideas and concepts on how to use modern media - in interesting and surprising ways - to present scientific topics. I advise on the communication of (often complex) content and try - whenever possible - to add an atmospheric and artistic level. It is also sometimes my job to send people away, because a solution without modern media may be of advantage.

The exhibit is then realized, including deciding on the hardware, creating animations and software. Mechanics, electronics and furniture are also realized - most of the time with other inhouse workshops.
